Help
Answers to the questions people ask most about buying tickets.
Who sells the tickets?
Most shows are sold by their official ticket seller (Ticketmaster, Moshtix, Ticketek and others): the show page links you to them. Some are sold by Gigroo for the organiser: those have quantities to choose and a checkout on the show page.
What fees do I pay?
On shows Gigroo sells, the price you see already includes our booking fee of 4% + $1 per ticket: a $45.00 ticket shows as $47.80, and there’s nothing extra at checkout. For other sellers, their fees are set by them.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed securely by Stripe: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank payment where offered. We never see or store your card number.
Where are my tickets?
We email you a link to your tickets page, with a QR code for each ticket. Show it on your phone at the door (each code scans once). Keep that email: its link opens your tickets.
My bank payment says “processing”. Are my tickets safe?
Yes. Some bank payments take time to clear. Your tickets are held while it does, and we email them as soon as it clears. If it fails, you’re not charged and the tickets are released.
What if a show is cancelled?
If a show sold by Gigroo is cancelled, you get a full refund of what you paid, booking fee included, to your original payment method. For other sellers, the seller handles refunds. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. See our terms.
What do “On sale 28 Sep” and “Off sale” mean?
On sale is when general tickets are released, in the venue’s local time (presales can start earlier). Off sale means the seller has stopped selling, usually because it’s sold out or sales have closed.
How do alerts work?
Leave your email on the home page or an artist’s page and we’ll email you when tickets go on sale near you, or when that artist announces Australian shows.
I need accessible seating or a companion ticket.
For shows sold on Gigroo, email hello@gigroo.com.au before you buy and we’ll arrange it with the organiser. For other sellers, contact their accessibility team. See accessibility.
